PS4 Price-Matches Xbox One for EA Digital Downloads

Earlier this week it was revealed that several Electronic Arts games were up for sale on the EU PSN Store for £8 more than on Xbox One.

Assassin's Creed IV, Battlefield 4 and FIFA 14 were all for sale on Sony's digital store for £62.99, compared to only £54.99 on Microsoft's equivalent.

Prices have since dropped to £59.99, and then once again to £54.99, to match the Xbox One versions. Now that prices have matched across the consoles, it is unclear if further changes are to be made. However, in a statement to Eurogamer, Sony confirmed that prices are subject to change up until launch in the region: -

However, as PS4 and PSN have not yet officially launched in this region, nothing on the PSN is final, including pricing on the store. You will continue to see some prices adjusted over the next few days in preparation for launch on Friday.
