Sonic The Hedgehog Movie Delayed To 2020
A few weeks ago, the director of the Sonic the Hedgehog movie announced on Twitter that the titular blue hedgehog would be receiving a re-design prior to the films release due to the intense backlash. It appears that this re-design might take a little while, with the films original 2019 release date being pushed to 2020.
Director Jeff Fowler announced on Twitter that the new date was 14th February, 2020. That’s right, Valentine’s Day will be the release date of Sonic’s live action big screen debut.
The tweet reads “Taking a little more time to make Sonic just right”, followed by a hashtag that reads “#novfxartistswereharmedinthemakingofthismovie”. The hashtag is an obvious reference to the concerns surrounding the visual effects artists who would presumably have to work overtime to ensure that the Sonic redesign would meet the initial deadline.
