Sonic Frontiers — First Gameplay Video

Sonic Frontiers — the new entry to the mainline Sonic franchise — has received its very first gameplay video, showcasing a total of seven minutes of gameplay.

Throughout the video, we get a good look at the open-world setting, along with a glimpse at four puzzles spread throughout the world that will award players with some collectibles.

Community reception of the gameplay has been predominantly negative as players are pointing out some issues in both the world-building and the gameplay. Many say that the video looks like a "tech demo" rather than a full release, especially from a "AAA" company.

Personally, I believe the gameplay looks very similar to that of Breath of the Wild, and I still believe that Sonic Frontiers might be a great title for those that want to experience an open-world Sonic game. Although I might be skipping out on it, I'm still intrigued and can't wait for it to release later this year.
