SolForge Might Remain Playable
Those lamenting the sad demise of the ending of SolForge’s development might just be in for some good news. The CCG may be about to get saved by another company, preserving it in its current state.
The developers are still ending future updates and developments, so the game won’t be changing, but that might not be bad news to those who love it as it is at the moment. A previous announcement let players know that the servers would not be maintained after the end of January, making it inevitable that the game would go offline in the near future.
A last minute save has come however in the form of Grinding Gear Games, who are hoping to take over the server maintenance. The teams are currently in the process of migrating servers between the two companies, in the hope of preserving customer’s collections and ability to play with them.
In a statement on the game’s website, Justin Gary said: “There will be interruptions in play over the coming weeks as we determine the feasibility of this project. There are no guarantees, but we are hopeful that we can make a sustainable version of the game that can keep this community alive even as we work on future iterations of the game we all love.”
