Snowfall Begins In Cities: Skylines

The previously announced winter themed expansion Snowfall for Cities: Skylines is now available for purchase on Steam.

In Snowfall, the challenges will get harder as the weather gets colder. When the snow falls, the residents will bundle up and expect the roads to be cleared with the new snowplow services, road maintenance services, along with making sure that electricity and heat consumptions are met using new geothermal heating plants and boiler stations. Among the many other items that will be added are trams and tram tracks, three winter parks and four new landmark buildings. The expansion adds four new policies and eight new steam achievements.

A new free patch has also been released, including a new map Theme Editor which will allow modders to alter the very fabric of in-game reality. Fog and rain are now included, the public transportation UI has been expanded, among many bug fixes.

Cities: Skylines Snowfall expansion pack is available on Windows, Mac and Linux PCs for $12.99.
