Sniper Elite 4 Announces DLC and Free Multiplayer Maps

It's been nearly a month since the launch of Sniper Elite 4, and the folks at Rebellion just announced some of their plans regarding future content for the Italian-set sniping game. The first major singleplayer and multiplayer content updates are coming sometime near the end of March, in both the free and paid variety.

The first add-on is "Deathstorm Part 1: Inception", the opening chapter of a new three-part mini-campaign with a completely new storyline, playable either solo or cooperative with a friend. First trailer coming soon. The second is the Night Fighter Expansion Pack, a content drop featuring three new weapons, night-time camouflage rifle skins for eight weapons, and two new characters. Both of these are paid, and of course, included in the package for Season Pass owners.

On the free content side, a brand new multiplayer mode called Elimination is coming. Revolving around two teams trying to whittle down their opponent’s numbers, it's a quite clever adaptation of dodgeball mechanics where killed players can't respawn until their team kills an opponent player -- at which point one of the dead snipers gets tagged back into the sniping game. It sounds fun and it's a nice change of pace from the parchment-old deathmatch modes.

Along with the Elimination, a new multiplayer map called Night Woods is also dropping for free, check out the screenshot below.

Rebellion was also kind enough to roughly map out future additional content coming to Sniper Elite 4. The following is theoretical, as things may be added or removed, but it's a nice roadmap for the next few months:

Late April 2017

• "Deathstorm Part 2: Infiltration" campaign mission
• Urban Assault Expansion Pack featuring new male and female character, 8 camo rifle skins and 3 new weapons
• Free new multiplayer map: “Urban”
• Free new multiplayer mode
• Free new Survival mission (playable solo or in 2-4 player co-op)

May/June 2017

• "Deathstorm Part 3: Obliteration" campaign mission
• Cold Warfare Expansion Pack featuring new male and female character, 8 camo rifle skins and 3 new weapons
• Lock and Load Weapons Pack featuring 3 new weapons.
• Two new multiplayer maps: “Fortress” and “Bunker”, also for free
• Free new Survival mission (playable solo or in 2-4 player co-op)

Besides all that, they assures us they are listening to feedback and of course continue working on patches to fix any issues the game may have. Always good to know.
