Skyshine’s BEDLAM Getting a New Lease of Life With Redux Version
On release last year,Skyshine's BEDLAM (not to be confused with Bedlam by Christopher Brookmyre) had a relatively muted response. Although many critics and players commended its take on the turn based combat genre, the implementation was seen as lacking somewhat. So faced with a disappointing response to the game, what did Skyshine do? They went back to the drawing board and set about creating a major overhaul to redress the issues that their fans had picked up in feedback.
The new version, dubbed Skyshine’s BEDLAM: REDUX, has today been released to Steam, replacing the original version for new customers and those who already purchased alike. The gameplay mechanics and feature set have been fully redesigned, all based on player feedback. To celebrate the recreation of their vision, the indie developer have also slashed 50% off of the price of the game on Steam until the 20th March.
“The team at Skyshine has proven their dedication to fans and their belief in the game by spending months of hard work and effort improving it, to the extent that Skyshine’s BEDLAM: REDUX! is almost a different game to the one that launched last year,” commented Steve Escalante, General Manager at publisher, Versus Evil. “The game plays so much better, is very rewarding and offers so much more in the way of features.”
