Skyrim Coming to Windows 10 Mobile and 3DS
Editor's Note: The astute amongst you will have probably noticed the date on this article already. This April Fools gag was brought to you by GameGrin.com.
In their continued effort to port Skyrim to anything with moving pictures, Bethesda have announced another port of their most popular game, this time to Nintendo's 3DS as well as the rather odd choice of the soon-to-be-discontinued Windows 10 Mobile.
The 3DS seems an obvious choice after the recent Switch version, but Microsoft's failed phone system doesn't seem quite so intuitive. Apparently though, it's all down to the engine. Ilk Nisan from Bethesda's logistics team told us this:
The Creation Engine that we used for Skyrim was written with Windows in mind. It wasn't used very much be developers, but Windows 10 Mobile has a very good implementation for DirectX in it, and it's a perfect platform for us to port Skyrim to. Also, the Speak and Spell doesn't support C++ so we couldn't port it to that.

I don't see a problem with it coming to Windows Phone. The Wii U is still getting new games, and that's been defunct for over a year.
