Sharknado: The Videogame Announced
That's right, just when you thought a sequel to Sharknado was a bad idea and calling it Sharknado 2: The Second One was a worse idea - here's something to blow that out of the water (Editor: Stop it, now.)
Yes, SyFy (formerly The Sci-Fi Channel) have asked The Asylum to get a game made to tie in to the Sharknado franchise. The Asylum are the studio behind Sharknado, as well as other blockbuster hits such as Transmorphers, AVH: Alien vs Hunter, Titanic II and Nazis at the Centre of the Earth.
They have teamed up with Other Ocean to develop and Majesco to publish, to create this endless runner which will see players escaping the sharknado (hurricane full of sharks), using various methods such as surfboards or their own feet. There is also a rumour of being able to re-enact the finale of Sharknado where the main character leaps into the hurricane with a chainsaw.
It will be caught and released (Editor: What did I tell you?) to iOS some time in the next weeks before the 30th July premier of Sharknado 2: The Second One.
