Shadows of Doubt Arrives In Early Access

Shadows of Doubt is a unique first-person crime-solving experience that has officially launched onto Steam Early Access, so if you’ve been waiting for your chance to live as a private investigator with an endless number of cases to solve in a sci-noir open-world setting — now’s your chance! ColePowered Games has also released a new launch trailer, complete with the best mystery game hallmarks: sifting through clues, trespassing where you shouldn’t be, and stringing together a list of suspects. Who could it be?

This immersive mystery game has been featured quite a bit on GameGrin in the last couple of months, as we’ve published two previews of the game! Here’s the latest one, which details what you can expect during your playthrough, including how to solve your first murder and what happens if you drink too much Starch Cola. From investigating clues to chasing down suspects, you’ll definitely have your hands full as you try to close your cases.

“I’m so excited to finally invite players into the world of Shadows of Doubt and delighted by the early press reaction to the game,” said Cole Jefferies, Founder and Director at ColePowered Games. The game’s Early Access launch includes a Sandbox Mode, which features an endless number of cases to investigate and civilians to meet in procedurally-generated cities, and a special case called “The Dead of Night”. The first major update, bringing new side jobs, building types, and NPC interactions, is currently planned for release in Q2 2023 while other updates will arrive in Q3 and Q4 2023.
