Shadows: Heretic Kingdoms Developer, Games Farm, Buys Back Rights to Continue Development

Games Farm, the developer for the action RPG Shadows: Heretic Kingdoms, has bought back the distribution and publishing rights to the game and another series, Air Conflicts, from publisher bitComposer Entertainment AG.

The first part of Shadows: Heretic Kingdoms was released back in November 2014, but their publishing partner, bitComposer Entertainment AG, filed for insolvency and the game's future was in danger. However, with this purchase, development and release of the promised parts to the game can now continue.

Games Farm is currently working on updates and improvements to the first part of Shadows: Heretic Kingdoms, with the first additional content, an extended official soundtrack comprising of 6 new soundtracks out now on Steam.

They are also releasing existing DLC content which was originally available in the Deluxe Edition (The Tholean Tablet, The Owl Amulet, and The Scorpion King) to all players, and the Deluxe edition players receiving Kult: Heretic Kingdoms, a prequel to Shadows: Heretic Kingdoms.

Shadows: Heretic Kingdoms in its Standard and Deluxe editions is currently on 50% off until September 3, along with Air Conflicts on Steam to celebrate the acquisition of publishing rights.
