“Shadows Amidst Snowstorms”: Genshin Impact v2.3 Coming on 24th November

Genshin Impact Version 2.3 is dropping on the 24th of November, and a slew of new content is on the way with it. Revolving around the seasonal event “Shadows Amidst Snowstorms” in Dragonspine, Travelers who are able to endure the harsh cold and mountainous terrain can join various old acquaintances — including Albedo and Eula —to earn rewards, including the new four-star Sword, Cinnabar Handle, as well as the ability to create their own “Puffy Snowmen”.

There will also be another event in Inazuma that will call for helping hands; small animals have been disappearing en masse, including a mysterious Warrior Dog. Travelers can rescue these critters, and eventually obtain a special Gadget that will allow them to replicate the forms of some creatures in the Serenitea Pot.

Albedo’s and Eula’s Wish Events will rerun at the same time in this Version, and will be followed by another Wish Event featuring new characters Arataki Itto and Gorou. Arataki Itto is a five-star man with Oni blood who wields a giant claymore and is able to transform into the Raging Oni King, which enhances his attack powers in trade-off for reduced defensive capabilities. Gorou is a four-star chap with a preference for the bow, and buffs characters on the field based on how many Geo characters are in the party. Both of these new characters hold Geo powers, and more of their backstories can be revealed through a Story Quest (Arataki Itto) and Hangout Events (Gorou).

A new boss also makes an appearance, this time over on Tsurumi Island. The Golden Wolflord is a huge monstrous beast that is even more dangerous and terrifying than its subordinates, the Rifthounds. It shares their Corrosion abilities, and can summon Rifthound Skulls to defend itself. Later in the battle it can also increase its attack in its attempt to best you, although this comes at the cost of a lowered Geo resistance; perfect for those new characters!

The main features of Version 2.3 are as follows:

• Two new Geo characters Arataki Itto and Gorou
• New seasonal challenges with rich rewards in the frozen Dragonspine
• A mysterious case of mass disappearances of small animals and a unique Warrior Dog to investigate in Inazuma
• Puffy Snowmen to make and decorate your personal realm
• Albedo and Eula up for rerun sharing the same cumulative pull count toward the five-star drop guarantee
• Paimon now able to be invited to your Serenitea Pot

Genshin Impact is available on PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, and mobile, with cross-save functionality allowing players to continue their saves from any platform.
