Several Need for Speed Titles Being Delisted, Servers Shut Down

In a post to the Need for Speed subreddit, the community manager Max_Joker has posted a notice to let players know that several Need for Speed games are being delisted from digital storefronts, starting today, 31st of May 2021.

Starting May 31st 2021, Need for Speed Carbon, Need for Speed Undercover, Need for Speed Shift, Need for Speed Shift 2: Unleashed and Need for Speed The Run will be removed from digital storefronts and you will no longer be able to purchase them.

What's more, the servers for these titles will shut down on 31st of August 2021. After that date, you will be able to continue playing the offline content.

The decision has been made to re-focus teams onto the newer entries of the franchise, as these titles date back over a decade and more, and the active playerbases make it too expensive a task.
