SEGA Launch Sonic 25th Anniversary Mega Drives with 80 Built-in Games

Nintendo may be bringing out mini-NES with it's 30 built-in games, but heck if SEGA won't be outdone. They have announced that they will be bringing out a mini-Mega Drive, with a functioning cartridge slot and two controllers, along with 80 built-in games!

What's more, they are also bringing out a portable version, also with 80 games. Although it won't be two-player, it does come with a 3.2 inch display, and an SD card slot, to expand your collection. And given the fact that SEGA have allowed Steam Workshop support on their titles, it doesn't seem out of the realm of possibility that they want you to mod games on it, too.

You can preorder them now from FunstockRetro.

Admittedly, the games aren't all winners, but below are the "real" games. The rest are listed as "Bonus SEGA Arcade / Puzzle games". And no, that's no misprint, there is curiously no Sonic 3.

Since this one isn't due until October, it's probably an updated version. Probably more emphasis on Sonic?

It's a shame neither unit is as stylish as the Mini-NES, I love the thought of tiny versions of all the old 8/16-bit systems sat together. It's nice it takes cartridges AND has an SD slot though!

Problem is, Sony already brought out a PlayStation Mini, and nobody realises! The PSOne!
