Sea of Stars is Getting a Free Update, Which Brings Local Co-op, Among Other Things
Developed and published by Sabotage Studio, Sea of Stars is a turn-based RPG that draws a lot of inspiration from the '90s classics. This beloved title is receiving a free content update called Dawn of Equinox, which brings tons of player-requested features.
Here's what's coming to the game with the update:
- Local co-op will be available for up to three players, and this includes the entirety of the experience.
- A few updates to combat are coming, among them are the Mystery Locks, Reveal functions, and Timed Hits (which is for co-op). Additionally, Sabotage Studio has tweaked combat in order to balance it.
- The prologue has been revamped by removing the flashback structure.
- A new cutscene has been added to a pivotal moment.
- The Speedrunner Mode Relic has been added, which helps players looking to set records or new personal bests.
- New difficulty settings have been added, too; players can tweak it through the Relics menu.
- The Parrot Relic has received some changes to make it easier for players to find collectibles and challenges.
- Quebecois localisation is now available.
- Additional quality-of-life improvements have been added.
The update will be live before the upcoming free DLC, Throes of the Watchmaker (which will also be available to enjoy in co-op)!
Dawn of Equinox will be available on the 12th of November. Sea of Stars is available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. If you'd like to learn more about the game, check out our review!
