Scorn - The Terror Soaked Nightmare of Microsoft's Series X Showcase
From its latest two-minute reveal trailer, Ebb Software's Scorn looks set to recreate the string of nightmares that follow a late-night Alien movie marathon and cheese-eating binge. The latest trailer, part of Microsoft's first 'Xbox 20/20' event, shows off a Giger-esque hellscape filled with parasitic creatures, unnatural environments and living walls. Check it out above, and look out for Scorn as a launch-window exclusive for the Xbox Series X.
Featuring a non-linear world where each location is a character in and of itself, filled with story, puzzles and horrors to overcome with a growing arsenal of weapons, skills and equipment. Although Scorn will be exclusive to Xbox at launch, it's implied that other platforms will receive the game at some point, although no details have been made clear in that regard.
As mentioned, the trailer was unleashed into the world as part of May's 'Xbox 20/20' showcase. This is the first of a series produced by Microsoft that aims to maintain communication with players in the face of COVID-19 disruptions. Each month, announcements, trailers and information will be released concerning upcoming games and the ever-nearing launch of Xbox Series X.
Scorn will release first on Xbox Series X during the console's 'launch window'.

Feel like I learned more about this game from one sentence of this article than I did from the entire "gameplay" trailer.

Yeah "in-engine" and "gameplay" are two different things, and somehow someone didn't realise that.
