Scalebound Cancelled After 4 Years
Despite having been on its way for a long time now, the Xbox One exclusive Scalebound has been officially cancelled by Microsoft.
After careful deliberation, Microsoft Studios has come to the decision to end production for "Scalebound." We're working hard to deliver an amazing lineup of games to our fans this year, including "Halo Wars 2," "Crackdown 3," "State of Decay 2," "Sea of Thieves" and other great experiences.
Of course, this doesn't explain quite why the game has been cancelled, although things were a little suspect when Scalebound failed to appear at gamescom last year. The game's social media has also been quite for the past few months, so anyone following closely will probably have been expecting the cancellation.
If Platinum Games decide to move ahead with something dragon-themed, or we hear anything more about Scalebound, we will let you know.

One of only one or two games I was looking forward to ...
What a complete bugger.

It certainly looked like it had promise.
