Sandbox Interactive Details Stats of Albion Online Beta
With the official launch of the game coming soon, players of Sandbox Interactive’s upcoming MMO have been getting their money’s worth from the game’s beta test. Albion Online launches on the 17th of July 2017, and the developer have been tracking stats since the most recent update on the 13th of March.
The game is a medieval MMORPG, set in the fictional land of Albion. With an armour and equipment based skill system, it gives players the flexibility to change their character type, simply by switching out their equipment. Meaning that if your warrior fancies flinging some spells, he’s just a quick outfit change away from doing so.
In this period of time between Galahad’s launch and the 9th of April, 212,815 players spanning 164 different countries played over 2.8 million hours. They harvested almost 512 million resources, erected 178,477 buildings and farmed 13.1 million carrots. The tragic cost of war was demonstrated with the death of 124,179 player characters in PvP mode.
Our News Editor Gary, as a rabbit owner, was mortified to learn that players have also killed 850,811 rabbits. We reminded him that they weren’t real rabbits, but he just mumbled something about “neither were the ones in Watership Down and that still makes everyone cry”.
