Samurai Warriors 5's Art Style Takes Centre-Stage in Latest Trailer
Omega Force is taking the art style of upcoming Musou sequel Samurai Warriors 5, set to release on the 27th July, in a vibrant new direction. Vibrant and cel shaded, the reworked style fits the franchise's over-the-top action and already outlandish visuals. Check out the game's visuals in the newly-released trailer above.
Set during the Japanese Sengoku period (circa 1467 to 1615), the game's main story is inspired by two historical military commanders, Nobunaga Oda and Mitsuhide Akechi. Of course, there are 25 other characters available for players to control too, including ones from earlier franchise entries like Yoshimoto Imagawa and Ieyasu Tokugawa. In addition, there are new gameplay mechanics such as Musou Frenzy Attacks. These seek to elevate the already over-the-top even further, bolstered by the game's new vibrant art style.
Samurai Warriors 5 launches for Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on the 27th July.
