Rust Developers Give Update on Progress

There's a lot going on with the development of Rust at the moment. That didn't stop the developers taking time off of their clearly hectic schedule to update us all on how they're getting on. Yes, it's the latest Rust Devblog, the 92nd edition no less.

One of the big announcements was the music system coming along. On the blog, a sample of beautiful string music was given to listen to while reading and it's a sign of what's to come. The system is set to work in a particularly clever way, with music being generated in response to in-game events by piecing together pieces of themed music of varying intensity.

Among other things discussed were tweaks to the weather system, anti-hack changes and viewmodel adjustments. There's a new female player model, increased stability, the ability to punch people underwater and the ability to throw things at other things or people. And that's not all: click the link above to see the full update from the developers themselves.
