Rune II Charges Onto the Epic Games Store Now

Co-op hack and slash RPG from Human Head Studios, RUNE II, is out now on the Epic Games Store. Check out the 'dance party' celebratory trailer above.

Rune II is immersed in the gods, monsters and concepts of Norse mythology. Set during Ragnarok (the Nordic apocalypse), the Gods have granted the remaining humans god-like abilities to help thwart the world's impending destruction. Players —as one of the last humans— will go solo or team up with their friends to travel the land, fighting Loki's minions on a quest to defeat the trickster God and save Midgard.

The brutal world of the Norse Gods is captured Rune II: blood, gore and carnage spread across the land; limbs can be torn off enemies and used as weapons; and lizard heads can be chomped on to restore energy. The apocalypse is no walk in the park.

These Nordic warriors will collect resources, gather crucial artifacts and hunt down legendary weapons to aid them on their journey —demolishing opponents with first-person melee combat along the way.

Rune II is out now on the Epic Games Store for £23.99, or £31.99 / £47.99 for the Berserker Rage Edition / God Slayer Edition respectively. These editions come with a selection of banner, armour, weapons and a variety of other digital goodies.
