RPG Tycoon Nearing Release

RPGs usually tend to start with our intrepid hero leaving their home town in search of fame, fortune and big dragons to slay. Be it Midgar, Kokiri Forest or Helgen, the village you start the game in is generally somewhere that you don't see much more of throughout the game. There might be a few people wandering around releating the same lines of dialogue, but nobody stays there very long. What if it didn't have to be that way though? What if those villages were living and breathing?

That's the concept behind RPG Tycoon. It's Populous meets Secret of Mana. The game, whch sees you building a village and nurturing heros to work for the good of you and your people, has been in Steam Early access for about a year now, but will be seeing its full release in just a few days time.
