Rockstar Officially Announces Grand Theft Auto: the Trilogy - Definitive Edition
After countless rumours, Rockstar has officially announced Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition. The trilogy includes touched up versions of GTA III, Vice City and San Andreas.
“In honor of the upcoming anniversary, today we are excited to announce that all three games will be coming to current generation platforms later this year in Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition”
On its website, the company said the collection will be coming to PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Switch and the Rockstar Games Launcher on PC and then goes on to say that it will also be coming to iOS and Android devices in 2022. The pricing and exact release dates for consoles haven’t been shared as of yet.
“Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition will feature across-the-board upgrades including graphical improvements and modern gameplay enhancements for all three titles, while still maintaining the classic look and feel of the originals.”
Rockstar hasn’t shared what kind of technical improvements we should expect nor have they shown any footage saying that it will have more to share “in the coming weeks” but have confirmed that the company will be removing existing versions of each title from digital stores starting next week.
We’ve all grown up around GTA so the nostalgia here is extreme. We can’t wait to see more and replay all of these games!
