Rockstar Games To Receive BAFTA Fellowship
Rockstar Games are to receive this year's BAFTA Fellowship in recognition of their "outstanding and exceptional" contribution to the games industry. Most notably the Grand Theft Auto franchise.
Regarding the award, Rockstar Games co-founder Sam Houser stated:
We have long believed in the potential for videogames to become a new form of cultural expression and worked to show that in our games, so for us accepting the BAFTA Fellowship is incredibly humbling. This honour reflects the creative vision and dedication of huge number of people over many years, and we look forward to accepting the Fellowship on their behalf.
Other big names who have received the BAFTA Fellowship include Peter Molyneux, Gabe Newell, Shigeru Miyamoto and Will Wright.
