Risk of Rain 2's Artifact Update Teases New Content

This year's PAX East draws yet another announcement from its quiver: Hopoo Games' Risk of Rain 2 is set to receive a free content update on 31st March for PC, titled The Artifact Update.

A new stage, bosses, weapons and equipment await players who download the Artifact Update. Most importantly, however, are the titular 'Artifacts'. These are optional gameplay modifiers that are discovered and unlocked within levels; some empower the players, others weaken them significantly, but they all add replay-value to the already long-lasting Risk of Rain 2. This update will add an array of new and mysterious artifacts; the details of them aren't known, but judging by the first title's Artifact offering, they'll certainly be worth poking around for.

The Artifact Update comes to Risk of Rain 2 on PC on 31st March.
