Rick and Morty Infiltrate Gaming
With the popularity of Adult Swim's Rick and Morty, it's a surprise that we haven't seen them star in their own full release game yet. Sure, we've had a VR title and a couple of mobile games, but the famous duo have yet to join their animated peers by starring in their own AAA-title. That's not set to change any time soon, but we are about to see them join the cast of a number of other titles instead.
With the third series of the show coming this summer, the pair are going to feature in a series of themed items for Rocket League, Move or Die, Steam VR Home, and Gang Beasts. Each game will incorporate custom Rick and Morty characters and gear in different ways. For example, you'll be able to battle against friends as Bird Person or Mr. Meeseeks in Move or Die, and suit up Rick or Morty style in Gang Beasts while taking on your foes.
In addition, there's a live streaming event being hosted for the show on Adultswim.com. Starting at 9pm EST/6pm PST on the 29th of June, fans can check out the thoughts of series creators Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland as they discuss the latest episodes of their cult show.
In addition to that, The Rickmobile, a large-scale Rick-shaped mobile pop-up shop is currently on a US city tour and the Adult Swim On the Green, carnival-like experience, is simultaneously traveling across select cities for fans to enjoy games, win prizes, and catch screenings of the network’s upcoming shows, including Rick and Morty.
