Remnant 2 Trailer Confirms You Can Pet the Dog via the New Archetype

Gearbox Publishing and Gunfire Games have released the latest Remnant 2 trailer, which is aptly titled, Best Friends. In this trailer, we get to see what the Handler Archetype is capable of it, and we find out the most important question for any gamer: Can you pet the dog?

For those unfamiliar with Remnant 2, it's an upcoming action-survival title. You play as a lone wolf or team up with two friends to enter a world filled with ranged and melee combat against cunning enemies. You can expect challenging boss battles, with each playthrough bringing you into a new world with different locations and more. 

Fans of Remnant 2 will be pleased to learn more about their new Archetype, which specializes in canine combat. Your furry best friend will attack and distract enemies when needed. They'll even revive you via the Handler's Prime Perk. Of course, the Handler themself has a helpful Archetype Trait, which will reduce the friendly fire dealt to them and their allies. 

The good thing about Remnant 2 is that it has an updated Archetype system, allowing you more flexibility in your play style. Fans can look forward to having multiple Archetypes available to unlock and even equipped together.

If you want to pet the dog in Remnant 2, you'll have to wait until it arrives on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in the summer of 2023.
