Recover Elemental Powers in KAKU: Ancient Seal’s Early Access Launch This May

KAKU: Ancient Seal is set for a global launch onto Steam Early Access on the 4th of May 2023. This announcement comes with a brand-new trailer where our young protagonist Kaku is filled in on the dire state of the world, having lost its elemental powers to monstrous foes. It’s a classic start to a hero's epic journey that Kaku is hesitant to embark on, so he’s thrown into the elemental lands whether he likes it or not! Thankfully, he’s not alone — his magical flying pig, Piji, will stick by his side.

The Early Access build will feature a 30+ hour open-ended campaign, four maps, a variety of monster types, and epic boss battles. Some of the areas can be seen in the trailer, such as desert cliffs, lush green forests, and icy zones. You’ll also get to solve puzzles and collect countless collectables, including chests, sacred stones, and much more. It’s already sounding like a fleshed-out game, and it looks like it too, so you may be wondering why developer Shenzhen BINGOBELL is starting off with an Early Access launch. In a post on the game’s Steam page, the team explained that the “core gameplay of the Early Access version will be consistent with the final release, but we plan to add more exploration, puzzle solving, and combat for the full launch.”

Optimisation has been a big priority for the Ancient Seal team. You can see a comparison of the 2022 demo to the 2023 Early Access version in this new video released on the game's YouTube channel. 

KAKU: Ancient Seal is coming to PC via Steam Early Access on the 4th of May 2023. The game was also announced for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, but there has yet to be an official release date announced for those consoles.
