Recent Silent Hill Rumours Shot Down by Konami Rep
A couple of weeks ago, horror media website “Rely on Horror” wrote an article discussing two potential new Silent Hill projects, including a revival of the cancelled Hideo Kojima headed Silent Hills project, alongside another project being helmed by former Team Silent members. Perhaps unsurprisingly, it seems like these rumours were false, with a North America PR representative shooting them down.
The PR rep simply told Rely on Horror “We’re aware of all the rumors and reports but can confirm that they are not true. I know it’s not the answer your fans may want to hear.” Rely on Horror continued to ask the rep further questions regarding the statement, but there hasn’t been a response since.
A slight gleam of hope came from the same email however, with the rep revealing that “It’s not to say we are completely closing the door on the franchise, just not in the way it is being reported.” While it might be overly optimistic to say for certain that this is hinting towards the revival that fans have been asking for, the faint hope of Silent Hill’s revival remains.
