Rebellion Finally Working on Evil Genius 2
After years of waiting, fans of the cult classic strategy title Evil Genius are finally set to see a sequel to the game. The original title was released on Windows in 2004, and is available on Steam and GoG (it's in the Steam summer sale at the time of writing) but with Rebellion buying the IP after Elixir's sad demise, the future of the game looked bleak; especially with a free-to-play online spin off having very little success.
Good news for fans of the series arrived today however, with CEO Jason Kingsley formally announcing that the second game in the series will be made. Initially, the company had planned to go via crowdfunding, but after finding success with a number of their own titles, they've decided instead to go it alone, and the game is in active development right now.
Evil Genius 2: World Domination is still in the early days of development, so we don't have any screenshots or full details just yet, but we do have an assurance tha this will be a full-blown sequel and not just a remaster. The focus is currently on releasing the game to its loyal fans on the PC, but other platforms may follow as well.

My thoughts exactly! Loved the first game, I must have pumped literally hundreds of hours into it over the years.

A very overlooked classic. One of the best RTS/Base Builder games I have ever owned.
