Systemic Reaction's open-world roguelite Ravenbound is bringing a ton of players’ highly requested changes to the game with the free 1.1 content update, and for a limited time, players can also get the first paid DLC, Hammers of Ávalt, for free until the 13th of July 2023, after which it will be available for $3.99.
Here’s everything you need to know about all the exciting gameplay changes and quality-of-life improvements coming to Ravenbound, and be sure to check out the content update trailer linked above!
After receiving a lot of feedback about the “Always Online” feature, Ravenbound’s Apex Connect requirement has been removed, so it is no longer necessary to have an Apex Connect account in order to play, and you are now free to jump into the game online or offline! This major change arrives alongside plenty of gameplay changes, including a new skill tree for better progression, allowing players to unlock new perks and other skills. There have also been adjustments made to enemy strength and behaviour to better balance combat difficulty. Additionally, when starting a run, players will be given special keys to use on new variants of hidden treasure.
If you pick up the free Hammers of Ávalt DLC, before it becomes paid after the 13th of July, you’ll get to slay your foes with any of the brand-new 13 hammers, a powerful weapon type with varied abilities, and you can customise your arsenal with six special effect cards.
Ravenbound and the Hammers of Ávalt DLC are available to play now on PC via Steam.
