Rainbow Six Siege Beta Keys Issue Angers Fans

The beta for Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege began today at 2pm GMT, causing many to flock to the Ubisoft message boards.

Thread such titles as:

• For: Ubisoft. From: Your angry fans right now:
• False advertising??
• How do I cancel my pre-order?

are popping up filled with irate fans voicing their anger over not receiving the beta keys promised on the provision that they preorder the game.

Some sites, including ours, have given away codes which were redeemable for beta access for a platform of their choice. We understand that many of them have also not received a code to download the game and take part.

Some of the ire is directed at Ubisoft for their blog post, published yesterday, particularly this portion:

Players will be granted access in waves to allow us to test server stability so we can optimize the player experience during the Beta. We’ll be adding new people every day, so be sure to check your email regularly

It hadn't been mentioned before, that they would be released in waves. However, people who have taken part in a large-scale beta know that is how they manage to stop the servers from burning out.

Most of the tweets being sent to @Rainbow6Game are also angry in tone.

Ubisoft are yet to address anyone directly, but there are other users who are doing the job for them.
