Puzzle Quest 3 Returns with a Free-to-Play Business Model
Over a decade after the previous entry in the series, Infinity Plus Two (now owned by 505 Games) has announced Puzzle Quest 3, set for release on "a variety of mobile devices and PC later this year, with additional platforms to be announced". What's more, it'll be free-to-play on all platforms.
It's been over ten years since the last entry, so it's no surprise to hear that Puzzle Quest 3 will be putting a fresh twist on the familiar match-three and RPG hybrid gameplay the series is known for. Set 500 years after the last entry, the game will feature a one-versus-one battle system which will add some additional depth to the game's combat. Plus, encounters will be fully rendered in a 3D space.
505 Games has confirmed that Puzzle Quest 3 will release on PC and mobile later this year, with potential console releases being teased by the company.
