Punch Your Friends' Giant Robot Faces in Override: Mech City Brawl
Modus Games, along with publisher Balance Inc., recently announced an upcoming title called Override: Mech City Brawl and it looks like pure childish glee. Featuring a colourful cast of 12 giant, customizable robot characters, players will be able to... you guessed it, brawl with other giant, customizable robots.
The game is set to feature a whole host of game modes including a single-player mode, 1v1 and 2v2 brawls, a free-for-all four-player brawl, and, perhaps most exciting, a four-player party co-op mode in which four players must work together to pilot one mech. That's right, in this nightmare Voltron scenario, one player controls the legs, two players each control the arms, and one player steers (hopefully while screaming "AND I'LL FORM THE HEAD").
If that doesn't get you excited, we just...don't know what to say.
Each of the mech characters has their own playstyle and specialty moves and will be able to be customized with accessories and skins that you'll unlock by crushing your opponents 'neath your mighty, robotic tread. And of course there'll be plenty of collateral damage along the way as you smash through skyscrapers billboards, city parks, and anything else that gets in your way.
Seriously, check out the trailer above. You won't be disappointed.
Override: Mech City Brawl is due out 4th December 2018 for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Players can preorder the game now along with a season pass, which includes four extra mechs and 16 new skins post-launch, as instant access to 12 legendary skins normally unlocked in the Standard Edition.
In addition, players can sign up for the open beta, scheduled to take place 10-12th August, at the game's website here.
