PUBG Update: Version 7.3 Announced and Esports Tournaments Revealed
There's news aplenty to dig into for PUBG fans. In addition to details of the upcoming 7.3 update, PUBG Corporation has announced the PUBG Continental Series 1 and 2 (PCS 1/2). Check out the full details in the links above, or read on for a quick overview of the key points.
Update 7.3
Hitting test servers 10th June; PC launch on 17th June; console launch on 23rd June
- Vehicle Damage Overhaul - Damage zones (engine, body, roof etc.) separate the damage vehicles take. Cars also no longer explode instantly upon reaching 0HP.
- New Weapon (C4) - A sticky, throwable, remotely detonated explosive. Sticks to most surfaces except for (unfortunately) players.
- Parachute Follow Feature - Players can be selected to automatically follow upon exiting the match-start plane.
- Vikendi Train Adjustments - A new train line, more stops on the existing line and more indicators for player awareness.
- Esports Menu - Letting players stay up-to-date on PUBG Esports and participate in the "Pick'Em Challenge" (more on that later).

PUBG Continental Series 1 and 2 (PCS 1 and 2)
After May's PUBG Continental Series Charity Showdown, PUBG Corporation has announced two more PCS showdown events, each with a $200,000 prize pool per participating region.
PCS 1 Europe group stage will run from 9th - 14th June with finals on 27th - 28th June and 4th - 5th July. Check out the full schedule for PCS 1 below. PCS 2's schedule will be revealed at a later date.
The "Pick'Em Challenge" returns too, letting players predict the results of each regional event. Players who predict correctly will net themselves some in-game, "champion level" loot.
The PCS European Group Stages began on 9th June, with Grand Finals commencing on 27th June.
PUBG update 7.3 will be available on test servers 10th June before a PC launch on 17th June and console launch on 23rd June.
