PS4 System Software 2.0 Details

PlayStation Blog have revealed more details on the incoming PS4 system update 2.0.

The update, codenamed Masamune, includes hordes of new features, including: Share Play, YouTube support and the much anticipated introduction of Themes.

PS4 users will also be able to listen to music while playing games thanks to a new USB Music Player app which will open after inserting a USB stick loaded with music into your system. As well as this, PS4 users will be given the choice to change background colours and will now be able to find friends through the 'People You May Know' feature.

The update will also reduce clutter on the PlayStation home screen. With the redesign of the PS4's Content area and Library you will now only see 15 of the most recently used apps, the rest will be added into the Library allowing for players to easily navigate around their system.

There is still no release date for System Update 2.0, but it expected to be released this Autumn.
