PS2 Games now Available on PS4
Sony's PS2 is the best-selling console of all time. In its 13 year lifespan it sold over 150 million units and spawned 3874 games. That's a huge back catalogue of games to pick from. In contrast, the PS4 is the young pretender to the throne. Sony are now set to utilise some of those older games to help boost the games available on their new flagship console.
These won't be simple re-releases however. PS2 games on the PS4 will be upscaled to 1080p as well as supporting features exclusive to the PS4 such as trophies, Share Play, Live Broadcast and Remote Play. The trophies have been developed in conjunction with the original creators of the games so as to ensure that the spirit of the original game remains intact.
The first batch to be released contains eight games:
- Dark Cloud
- Grand Theft Auto III
- Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
- Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
- Rogue Galaxy
- The Mark of Kri
- Twisted Metal: Black
- War of the Monsters
Two more games have been announced as "coming soon" and these are The King of Fighters 2000 and PaRappa the Rapper 2. You can get the full details on Sony's Playstation Blog.

I dunno, I've probably played Vice City more times than Saints Row The Third and Just Cause 2 put together, but £11.99? Too much for upscaling, no matter what Trophies they come with...

Even when you've already got the game. Still I'm a sucker for trophies, I'm sold!
