Project CARS May Be Delayed Until 2015

According to a post to the game's crowdfunding backers, gamers may not see the highly anticipated Project CARS until March 2015.

Allegedly the delay is due to a number of factors, including a number of other games releasing around the same time--which could negatively impact Project CARS' initial sales--and perhaps more significantly, that the game as it is currently lacks necessary bug fixes and polishing:

The team finished off their announcement to backers by explaining that the four month delay would not result in any major new content, and instead mostly be spent polishing the game as it is, as well as potentially adding in some content that had been planned for post-release. Namco-Bandai have yet to officially announce the delay, but redditors broke the news on the Project CARS subreddit earlier today that the company had informed backers of the delay.

Details are unclear at the moment, but it is assumed that the delay will effect all platforms: PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Wii U.
