Prey Gets A Huge New Update
Arkane Studios took everyone by surprise last year with Prey, an open-ended sci-fi horror experience that gave players unprecedented levels of freedom. Rumours started floating around about DLC a couple of weeks ago, and surely enough, during Bethesda's E3 conference, Susan Kath and Ricardo Bare announced a huge update to Prey which is available now.
Immediately available to all players are a bunch of new game modes. New Game+, a heavily requested feature that allows players to play through with all their previously acquired upgrades is finally in the game. Also included is Survival Mode, which as the name suggests, has players trying to last as long as possible against a never ending onslaught of enemies.
The biggest part of the new content, Mooncrash, offers a procedurally generated, rogue-like experience which has Reddit users already theorising about its role in the overarching story.
Although a release date wasn't announced for it, an additional mode called Typhon Hunter was also announced, which is an asymmetrical multiplayer experience, where one human takes on five mimics.

BLIMEY and this is free?! Arkane definitely deserve the praise we showered upon it during our Game of the Year podcast.
