POSTAL 4: No Regerts' Latest Update Finally Smooths the Game's "Hitching" Issues
POSTAL 4: No Regerts, the Early Access sequel to POSTAL 2 (that ignores the existence of any third title in the series) has just received its latest update: "Smack my Hitch Up" (0.1.4.1.2). On top of a slew of other additions, changes and fixes, this update looks to smooth out the game's performance, with "pretty much the entire" Running With Scissors team having been focused on optimisation for the past few weeks.
As a series famed for its irreverent sandbox gameplay, POSTAL 4: No Regerts continues to uphold its series' reputation with even more public urinating, a stronger anti-establishment attitude and an ever-expanding arsenal of odd weaponry.
The full changelog can be found here. Some of the noteworthy additions to the Smack my Hitch Up update include:
- Bystander "deathcrawling".
- General optimisation
- "Proper" controller support.
- Level Loading Zones - A temporary fix in aid of further smoothing performance.
- Numerous added sound effects.
It's important to note that, according to Running With Scissors (the game's developer), this update will render all previous save files obselete; players will need to restart their game following the installation of this update.
The Smack my Hitch Up update, version no. 0.1.4.1.2, is out now for POSTAL 4: No Regerts on Steam Early Access.
