Police Simulator : Patrol Officers Available Now on PC, PlayStation and Xbox
Astragon Entertainment, in collaboration with developer Aesir Interactive, has released Police Simulator: Patrol Officers for PC and consoles, and it’s available now on PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. Players will start their career with the Brighton Police Department to enforce law and order in the streets of the fictional US coastal city of Brighton and get an insight into everyday police work. The Urban Terrain Vehicle DLC is also available for £2.60, which includes a fancy patrol car. Thankfully, players who have already purchased Police Simulator: Patrol Officer in Early Access or pre-ordered before the official launch will receive the DLC for free.
Before starting their first shift, players can choose between eight characters to start their police career. Various challenging tasks await them, with the difficulty and complexity increasing as police officers climb the career ladder. Initially, they distribute parking tickets on foot, but soon players receive their first patrol car and will be allowed to catch speeders, solve accidents and track down suspects. Plus, experienced officers can eventually even solve robberies and arrest drug dealers. While playing new interactions, vehicles and precincts are continuously unlocked, making no shift feel like the previous one. In addition, a game mechanic has been implemented that tracks and rates the player's behaviour, and bad behaviour can quickly lead to dismissal. So be careful! This game also allows players to patrol in pairs in the online co-op mode while keeping law and order in Brighton.
Some of this game’s features include a realistic portrayal of everyday police work for the player to experience with Brighton as a living city with ever-changing challenges that make no two shifts the same. There are also three different districts and fifteen neighbourhoods to explore. Plus, various tasks have increasing difficulty, from parking tickets to drug investigations, unlocking new patrol vehicles, police equipment and offences used to fight crime. Included in this title are two game modes: simulation and casual, and players can play together in 2 player co-op.
Previously, this title was released in Early Access on Steam in June 2021 and has received additional content, updates and improvements requested by the community. In the future, gamers can also look forward to more updates bringing exciting new content. At least three more updates are planned on all platforms until mid-2023, but more surprises await.
