Pokémon Presents 2021: Pokémon Legends Arceus Announced

Newly announced at the Pokémon 25th Anniversary Pokémon Direct, it’s almost time to get your 3D open world legs on, for long-time fans!

Pokémon Legends Arceus will see you going on a new journey in the Sinnoh region, this time in the past. To prove how long ago this game takes place, the Pokéballs in the trailer are made of wood, and have metal clasps.

Explore the world outside your village, and try to fill up the very first Pokédex for the as-yet unnamed Professor, in a fully 3D environment. Of course, you can make your Pokémon fight other Pokémon, and it seems like you won’t just see them wave in the general direction, but actually make contact with each other.

You’ll be joined by the starter Pokémon Rowlet, Cyndaquil and Oshawott, but details on a full roster aren’t yet known. Pokémon Legends Arceus is coming to Nintendo Switch in early 2022.
