Pokémon Presents 2021: Nintendo Announce Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

At today's Pokemon’s 25th anniversary event, Nintendo announced remakes to the original DS titles, Diamond and Pearl. The two games will be released in late 2021 as Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.

Nintendo have confirmed the games will be faithful remakes to the original, meaning the two games will not have 3D environments, but will keep the original 2D aesthetic. No official release date has been stated, other than being given a late 2021 tag. Based on previous installments into the franchise, it’s likely to arrive just in time for Christmas.
