Pokémon Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! Trailer

It feels like an age since we had our last reveal from Nintendo regarding the beloved RPG series, but what we got may not have been on everyone's wish list.

Pokémon Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! are absolutely NOT core series Pokémon games, that much we do know. While the bulk of the gameplay does appear to be similar to the games we've been playing for 20 years there are some key differences. As the name of the games imply, these new releases will be compatible with Pokémon GO, allowing you to transfer any Generation 1 pokémon from your phone to your Switch. The capturing of wild creatures is actually ripped straight from GO, meaning there are technically no more wild battles to engage in. We've yet to see how this will impact some of the gameplay we've come to expect from the series at this point. 

I'll let the trailer do the rest of the talking, but so far this seems to be an extremely polarising reveal all round. 

Pokémon Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! are confirmed to release on 16th November 2018 exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
