Pokémon Go Community Days Will Let Players Catch Surfing Pikachu
Following the news that Pokémon Go will no longer work on older iOS devices, developer Niantic has revealed Pokémon Go Community Days.
These are said to be monthly events where players can meet up around the world in local parks to make new friends, experiences and catch some Pokémon. Each one of these events will include a special Pokémon as well which will be available for a few hours. The first of these Community Days events is set to take place on 20th January and offer players a chance to catch a Pikachu that knows the move Surf. As an added bonus players will also earn double XP during the event times.
Speaking of which, the times for the event are different for each region so check below to find when the event is live for you.
- The Asia-Pacific region: 20th January, 2018, from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm JST (GMT +9)
- Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India: 20th January, 2018, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm UTC (GMT +0)
- The Americas and Greenland: 20th January, 2018, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm PST (GMT -8)
Pokémon Go is available now for iOS and Android devices.
