Planet Explorers Reaches v1.0
After two and half years in Early Access, Planet Explorers is finally ready for a full-blown Steam Release. The latest build reaches the magical version number 1.0 and marks he exit of the game from Early Access, and the beginning of the game's full release.
Developer Pathea have promised that this release doesn't mean the end of development, with at least six months worth of tweaks and additions to come as an absolute minimum. Among the features planned for future updates are some more side stories and some features that didn't make the final cut, like animal riding.
The latest build features an open language spreadsheet, meaning that players can adjust the translation to their own preference, and potentially share translations amongst each other.
As well as this, a new anti-cheat mechanism has been implemented. Cheaters will be kicked from games, with repeat offenders getting banned from multiplayer and reported to Steam. This will mean that games should be fairer, however those of us who are awful at the game can no longer blame "haxxors" for losing. The developer are currently seeking player feedback on the system.
