Pikmin 4 "Very Close to Completion"
Shigeru Miyamoto has confirmed that Pikmin 4 is "very close to completion" according to an interview with Eurogamer.
The next installment of the immensely popular strategy game first released on the GameCube back in 2001, doesn't have a set release date, or platform.
Since the announcement of the yet to be released Nintendo home console, codenamed 'NX', fans have been speculating as to whether particular franchises and games will be released on the current Wii U or the yet to be released new console.
Miyamoto wouldn't clarify which Nintendo platform Pikmin 4 would be released on, but did say:
"It's actually very close to completion, Pikmin teams are always working on the next one."
The previous Pikmin game, Pikmin 3, was released back in 2013 for the Wii U, so in our opinion, it would be unlikely that Nintendo would commit to releasing the sequel on the console that hasn't yielded them as much success as they would have wanted.
Nintendo are keeping very hush on the topic, with a statement later in the day adding nothing to Miyamoto's previous statement:
"We can confirm that Pikmin 4 is in development but that is all we can confirm at present."
It's likely to be a waiting game, but I wouldn't get your hopes up for information anytime soon, Nintendo fans.

Never played Pikmin - Hold the gasps.
I highly doubt this will be coming to the Wii U, but it does bring up the question - how did they even come onto this subject in the first place?
