Pepper Grinder Tapped For Release In 2023 on PC & Nintendo Switch
Independent game developer Ahr Ech and drill enthusiasts Devolver Digital have revealed Pepper Grinder, an action-packed drill-bit digventure evoking classic platformers with a bore-ing twist coming to PC and Nintendo Switch next year. The main character, Pepper. is shipwrecked and robbed of her treasure by nefarious Narlings; she is a seafaring soul with a passion for prospecting - so she must spin up her trusty sidearm to reclaim what the mischievous minions stole. Armed with Grinder, Pepper burrows through terrain & water, controls machines and pulverises all enemies blocking the way to recovering her missing fortune - with interest.
However, Pepper's progress will be more complex than it seems as mysterious beings start to emerge from the shadows. Players will need to make use of the Gritty Gameplay to cruise through a colourfully animated world with precise movements featuring fluid drilling and thrilling leaps. Plus, players can also chew through the world with the Grinder finding new drill bits to ramp up the chaos and solve puzzles. In the meantime, picking up jewels and other riches is another fun activity to do in between all that grinding which you can cash in at shops to open up new paths on the world map and snag collectable stickers for your sticker book.
Pepper Grinder is tapped for release on the PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch in 2023, and it was previously an entry in the 2019 Independent Games Festival, where it was sponsored by ID @ Xbox and Intel. The announcement of the Switch version was part of Nintendo’s November Indie World Showcase, where a plethora of independent videogames was shown off.
