Pathea Games Announces the Next My Time At Game

Pathea Games Announces the Next My Time At Game

Pathea Games is most well-known for their work on My Time at Portia. Set in a post-post-apocalyptic world, you get to work as the official handyperson of Portia by taking over your Pa's neglected workshop.

Shortly after the success of their game, Pathea Games set their sights on the release for the sequel: My Time at Sandrock. This title would include some quality-of-life features that were requested in the original and even the multiplayer mode that the first so desperately needed! It left its Early Access period last year, on the 2nd of November 2023, and it's received similar enthusiasm from fans, including a DLC that adds creature collection to the game!

Now, Pathea Games is preparing for the newest entry: My Time at Evershine. There isn't a lot of information regarding the newest entry, though we do know that the team is going to turn to Kickstarter once again, for the third time in the series.

Announced in an X post (and later, a Steam news), My Time at Evershine already has a Kickstarter page, with the official campaign launching later this month (meaning sometime in September 2024). This has received some resistance from members of the community, as the already established franchise hasn't struggled with the two prior entries, though Pathea Games explains in their post, stating:

Indie game development comes with its challenges. My Time at Sandrock had a budget of nearly $12 million, allowing us to create all the fine details and deep narrative that players love, but it really stretched our studio's resources. Due to Sandrock being well received, the team's preparing a similar budget for this new project, because we want to reach and exceed Sandrock.

It's obvious that Pathea Games has high expectations and hopes for the next entry, and if the two previous games in the same franchise indicate anything, fans of it should be, too. If you're interested, check out the Kickstarter page and sign up for a notification for when it launches.
