Parcel Corps Receives Highly Requested Updates in Latest Release
Parcel Corps came out on the 3rd of October, and with it, came a mixed release, seeing 62% positive reviews among a total of 54 ratings. In our review, Joshua mentioned that he felt the gameplay was repetitive, but a large chunk of the user-based reviews were about more than just the gameplay: they were about performance.
In the latest update, Billy Goat Entertainment Ltd. and Secret Mode brought highly requested fixes to their biking title. With numerous game-breaking bugs, struggling frame rates, and lacking graphical settings to deal with the aforementioned.
The now-dubbed Performance Patch fixes what many bicycle couriers have been asking for:
- Further performance settings (including FSR 3.0 and DLSS upscaling)
- Achievement bug fixes
- Multiple fixes for various game-breaking and progression-blocking bugs
- Improved keyboard remapping UI
- Optimisations
- Reduced pop-in
Billy Goat Entertainment have been hard at work responding to numerous negative reviews in hopes of turning them positive. Some of them, such as a response to a complaint about the controls, promise an upcoming update to address further issues the community has had with Parcel Corps. The game's lead designer mentioned that another substantial update with further quality-of-life improvements is coming soon, meaning that players who are still struggling with a few things will be able to quickly restart recruitment missions without seeing the cutscenes.
The Performance Patch is out now — if you were struggling with a soft lock, the team has been encouraging players to share their experience and mention whether you've not been able to bypass it, since many have been fixed already.
